Multiplying is a ministry practice consisting of training, equipping and mentoring so that those that we work with are able to pass along to others what they have received. Our emphasis on multiplying means that we don’t just engage in prayer or teaching, as important as those activities are. We also help people learn fairly simple principles and effective practices that they can use and pass on to others. This is described by Paul: “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” 2 Tim. 2:2 NIV
Teaching is good, and equipping is better, but multiplying the number of effective workers is better still. We are always glad when people learn or are helped by our teaching and prayer, but we are even more fulfilled when they can help others and pass on to others what they received, so that more and more Kingdom workers are mobilized, equipped and effectively working in the harvest. We are developing materials that can be used for raising up more workers for the harvest (Luke 10:2) who are equipped to bring healing to those who need it.
